Testing Checklist
Use this phased checklist to structure analytical review for research peptide procurement. Adapt items to your internal quality management system and jurisdiction.
Before order placement
- Document intended research use and internal specifications
- Request example COA format and typical analytical package
- Confirm batch-specific testing is available for your order
- Align on HPLC and LC-MS expectations for the sequence class
On receipt of COA
- Match batch ID across vial, invoice, and COA
- Review method section and accreditation traceability
- Verify LC-MS mass against theoretical MW when required
- Check for red flags such as recycled chromatograms
Before batch release
- Complete internal or third-party testing if your QMS requires it
- File directory verification results for the testing laboratory
- Store retain samples per your stability protocol
- Record deviations and supplier responses in your AVL file
